How do I get started with your company?

How much time does it take to complete a website?
The timeline for a website design project is often dictated by the client. If you have a deadline in mind we will in most cases be able to meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation and completion of a new website is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to us by the client.
Will we need to have a meeting in connection with the website design?
In the majority of cases a meeting isn't necessary and 95% of our websites are generally completed with contact via email and telephone only. We can meet with client who are within 1-2 hours of Athens, GA. Durind the design phase, we place suggested website designs onto the Internet in a private place where only yourselves and us can view the content. We then liaise with you regularly to discuss the web designs in order that the website design and functionality is exactly as you wish.
Once my website design is completed what after sales service do you offer?
Here is where we differ vastly from other web design firms! Select Solutions U.S. LLC. has been building and hosting web sites since 1998. Our customer retention for this period is an astounding 99.3%! The reason? Our fanatical customer support combined with our intended more than expected value.
We are available to you 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! We don't know of another web design team that will do that for their clients period.
I think a professionally designed web site is too expensive for me. Can I really afford it?
YES! Our focus is small businesses, so our pricing is very affordable. Most importantly we code all of our web site to be found in search engines. Users search for site at a rate of 62% today. If your site can’t be found, your site essentially has little value. Most who do web designs and are not professionals do not understand this important part of web design. We are more than happy to build a one-page web site for you and make it scalable for future growth. We have several clients who started with a very small site due to budget constraints and have since expanded their sites as the businesses grew. A web site is an essential form of marketing. Not having a professionally designed site (even if it's just one page) can be MUCH more expensive in the long run! Using the GoDaddy Website Tonight, or the Intuit web site builder both get you a pleasant web site. But they are NOT coded correctly for search engine, thus your likelihood of ever being found in Google is rather small.
What is your payment policy?
We ask for a web deposit of $100 to begin the website. Once your website design is up and has been approved by you, a second payment is due bringing you to one half the design estimate. Once the website is complete or after 45 days whichever occurs first, and you are satisfied with the results, we would expect final payment at that time. We do accept major credit cards. We also can offer you 90 days same as cash if that fits your budget. With 1/3 down, you are billed for the additional 1/3 payments at the 60 and 90 day periods.
In what format should I supply words and photographs about my business for my new website?
It is helpful to us if you are able to provide email us text and photographs in electronic form - for example, the files output by a digital camera and the words in MS word or similar format. If this is not possible, we can help get your information ready for use on the website. If you have large amounts of photos for instance, we can get you set up to ftp them to us. Don't worry, if you do not know anything about ftp, we can help you understand it easily.
Will my website design be" Search Engine" friendly?
All our websites are created with search engines in mind and the website design is compliant with search engine guidelines. It is a good idea for your website to be re-evaluated in time as over a period of time the search engines do alter their rules and algorithms and you will want to be certain that your website is kept up to date and complies with new rules etc. We do offe a very cost effective search engine placement service. Can I use your company to host my website if my domain is registered elsewhere?
Yes. Even if your domain name is registered with another registrar you can still host with Select Solutions U.S. LLC. We can assist you in simply transferring your domain to our servers. We then change the name servers to Select Solutions U.S. LLC's name servers. This will point your domain name to your Select Solutions U.S. LLC hosting account.
Not with Select Solutions U.S. LLC. We discuss with you your website requirements and then price accordingly and once you have placed an order for your website, those prices are absolutly firm. In addition if we run over a few pages, there will be no additional cost to you.
How do I choose a hosting plan?
In order to choose the right hosting plan, you'll need to consider a few things: How was your web site designed? How much traffic or how many visitors do you expect monthly? How large is your site? How many email accounts do you need? Ours are FREE! We will assist you choose the correct hosting plan. So why don't I just go with the cheapest hosting? A host has to make a profit to continue operating. Some hosts do not properly understand the market, and may be pricing themselves too cheaply. This will also typically result in poor service, a brutal control panel interface, and a lack of overall quality. We offer a low price that includes high quality and guarantee a 99.9% uptime.

We provide ongoing web site maintenance to our web design and hosting clients. Most hosting plans with other companies do not include updates to your web site. You have to pay extra for that at an hourly rate of $50 or more, and in most cases they don't even provide the service ... you have to do find your own designer to do it. With Select Solutions U.S. LLC, we take care of it ... you just send us the update and it's done!

Will I have to pay for every update to my website?
Your monthly fee with most of our hosting plans includes 2 hours worth of maintenance and updates per month. This pertains only to content changes and does not apply to structural or design changes.
Most content changes take around 15 minutes per job. On average, a web designer will charge upwards of $50 an hour, so receiving 2 hours of updates per month is a $100+ value that you receive FREE with Select Solutions U.S. LLC hosting.
We will never go over the allotted 2 hours without contacting you first. This allotted hour (or fraction of the hour) cannot be accrued to be used for a later month. But we do take that into consideration should you go over in any quarter.
Will everyone see my web site the same?
Your website visitors will see some things differently depending on their browser choice, screen resolution setting on their computer and their individual computer settings and toolbars. We design sites with that in mind and preview them in several browser types and resolution settings before publishing. Obviously as technology alters then eventually all websites may need re-evaluation.
How do I set up my email accounts with you?
If you want to keep your current email address we can do that. If you would prefer your email to be like: info@yourdomainname.com or any other prefix, we can do that as well. We can help you set up an email editor like Outlook to automatically pull in your web mail into your inbox. You can access your email from any computer in the world that has web access, should you be out of town and want to check your email. We also can set up auto responders that will send a pre-determined automatic message to go out when someone sends an email to you.
Do you use Flash animation in your website design??
Yes we do use flash as and when required. It is important to note that there are times when flash animations can be an asset but it would be unwise to use "flash" to create an entire website or even entire pages of your website as search engines are not able to read the content of flash and therefore any words used in animations will not be indexed by the search engines. Generally it is best to use flash for smaller banners, advertisements or demonstrations and incorporate the flash animation into a web page which also includes some written text in html. This way the search engines will be able to index your information properly.
